Comprehensive Trails Plan

The Kodiak Island Borough has planning powers for parks, recreation and trails planning on the Kodiak road system.  At the borough's request, ITN assisted Kodiak Island Borough with a GIS-based trails assessment of 350 miles of road system trails in Kodiak.  We provided data on surface type, environmental impacts, structures, recreational features and control points to help the borough identify a plan for trail development in the coming decades.  See the results of the borough's planning efforts.
