Executive Assistant & Communications
Coordinator | Part Time
Island Trails Network is seeking a highly organized, self-directed Executive Assistant & Communications Coordinator to support our Executive Director and help manage day-to-day operations. This role emphasizes membership and donor support, public-facing communications, alongside essential administrative and event support. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a small nonprofit environment, takes initiative, values flexibility, and has a strong interest in Kodiak’s trails, outdoor recreation, and community.

Key Responsibilities

Membership & Donor Support

Maintain accurate membership and donor records

Assist with membership renewals, donor acknowledgments, and communications

Support donor stewardship and small-scale fundraising efforts

Help ensure timely and thoughtful communication with supporters

Public Communications & Outreach
Manage and create content for social media and communication platforms

Draft, design, and distribute newsletters and public announcements

Respond to general inquiries and serve as a public-facing point of contact

Share stories about trails, volunteers, events, and stewardship in Kodiak
Administrative & Executive Support

Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and Board

Assist with scheduling, meeting preparation, and basic recordkeeping

Help maintain organized files, documents, and internal systems
Event & Volunteer Support

Assist with planning, promotion, and coordination of community events and trail work parties

Support event logistics, registrations, and follow-up

Provide in-person support for events as needed
