  • Island Trails Network partnered with the Kodiak Soil and Water Conservation District to reroute a trail that ran along the water line along the east side of Summit Lake to the west side of the lake and farther upland. The project required the construction of six bridges over drainages that run into the lake as well as installation of approximately 700 feet of geoblock to stabilize the trail in areas prone to erosion and rutting.
